For those seeking justice, awareness, and reform within the U.S. criminal justice system

About
Welcome to Lawfully Equal, a platform dedicated to raising awareness about police brutality, excessive force, false imprisonment, racial profiling, malicious prosecution, etc… This website serves as an archive and resource for those seeking justice, awareness, and reform within the U.S. criminal justice system.
Here, we share firsthand accounts, legal updates, and resources for individuals who have been wrongfully targeted by law enforcement. Through advocacy, storytelling, and community engagement, we strive to bring these injustices to light and push for accountability and change.
If you or someone you know has experienced police brutality, wrongful imprisonment, racial profiling, or other civil rights violations, we want to hear your story. Together, we can expose the truth, seek justice, and demand accountability.
Important Note
To be clear, not all law enforcement officers and public officials are bad apples but we do have a few from time to time that overreach their constitutional and fiduciary duties to the public as you will see and recognize clearly in my case. As private men and women we should not fear for our lives those whom we pay taxes to uphold the integrity, reliability, and competence of the public’s trust.
My Case
My name is Demario Lashun Hankins, also known as Demar Bey. This website was inspired by my personal experience of injustice and to expose the systemic issues that allow such violations to continue. My case began in Texarkana, Texas, and ultimately led to a wrongful imprisonment in Miller County Detention Center in Texarkana, Arkansas.
I am a decorated military veteran with an honorable discharge and no prior criminal record, yet I endured a series of unlawful actions, including false imprisonment, excessive force, malicious prosecution, denial of medical care, and racial discrimination. These violations, committed under color of state law, infringed upon my Fourth, Fifth, Sixth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendment rights.
